South Ayrshire Council is looking to recruit volunteers to become members of the South Ayrshire Education Appeals Panel and Local Attendance Council.
The organisation helps to decide on school placing requests and pupil exclusions.
It also helps to uncover the reasons for non-attendance in school by pupils.
Applications close on Friday, April 19 and forms are available at www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/education-appeals-panel.
