A Prestwick youth football club has hailed Killie rising star David Watson after he was named the best young player in Scotland.
Watson was named the PFA Young Player of the Year, beating off strong competition from fellow players at Rangers, Motherwell and Dundee.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season for the Ayrshire side, helping them climb to fourth in the league and heading for European competition with just a few games remaining.
His footballing path started as a youngster at Queen Margaret Academy and Caledonian Youth Club in Prestwick, before training with Killie youth teams from the age of seven.
He officially joined the club's youth setup aged 10, and signed his first professional contract in 2021.

Footballing talent does run in the family, with mum Claire a past Scotland international.
Last year, he revealed he was spending more time in the gym to try and improve himself physically to deal with the rigours of playing every week at the highest level.
He has also been nominated for Young Player of the Year by the Scottish Football Writers Association.
